KOLI EQUESTRIAN CENTER

Located in the heart of Wild Horse Pass, the KOLI Equestrian Center provides horseback riding experiences along beautiful desert trails.  The center’s serene desert property and uninterrupted views of the Sierra Estrella Mountains make for an authentic Southwestern experience not to be missed.

Horseback Riding

KOLI Equestrian Center provides a wide range of horseback rides to choose from that accommodate all levels of experience. Specialty rides include the Early Bird Ride, which will get you on the trail in the early morning hours to avoid the heat during Arizona’s warmer months, and the Margarita Sunset ride, which begins with the setting sun lowering behind the Sierra Estrella Mountains.  When you return from the ride, you will be greeted with a refreshing Cowboy Margarita on the rocks, chips, and salsa.

Unlike other horseback riding experiences, where guests often ride in a single file line, at KOLI Equestrian Center everyone is spread out and can get to know each other along the way. Friendly, qualified wranglers will provide information about the center’s surroundings and the center’s well-trained horses.

New to riding and want to learn the basics? The center offers Horsemanship 101,  a personalized session that helps the inexperienced rider learn all about the horse, the saddle, grooming, and the actual saddling of a horse in addition to riding in the arena or on trails. This helpful course is available for adults and children. However, all rides offered at KOLI are beginner friendly as well.

And kids are always welcome at the KOLI Equestrian Center; child-specific riding lessons are typically held Sunday mornings. Be sure to check the Koli Equestrian Center website for more information and remember: the minimum age to participate in a horseback ride is 6 years old.

Additionally, KOLI is happy to accommodate requests for private or group rides. Whether you want one-on-one tutorials, want to bring the bachelorette or bachelor party out for a ride, or host an extra-special child’s birthday party the center is happy to make it happen. Most rides are 60 minutes long, but some last up to 90 minutes or two hours.

Special Events

KOLI Equestrian Center is also an excellent choice for corporate events and team-building exercises. Bring your group to KOLI to experience distinct horse-related activities that are guaranteed to provide your guests with a unique event experience.

Available activities include Cowboy Games like Sidekick Horse Shoes, Lucky Clover Ring Toss, Cowboy Chip in Golf, Tomahawk Hatchet Throw, Gunslinger Quick Draw, and more.  KOLI also offers Foot Rodeo where you have to pull your team’s steers out of a herd; Arrest-A-Guest where you get the chance to throw your boss behind bars; Bucking Bull Rodeo in the rodeo arena; a Branding Ceremony with a real live fire and iron; Goat Dressing, your chance to try to put a shirt on a goat; Wagon or Horseback Ride & Dine where your group will take a ride out through the desert and let a head chef cook you a meal over an open flame; and Cattle Drives, a group activity of herding cattle.
